Our vacuum storage chests are very simple to use. Simply follow the instructions below:
Items to be stored must be clean and thoroughly dry. In order to store as much as possible inside the “Vacuum Storage Chest”, prepare each item by folding neatly in suitable piles to fit within the base dimensions of the chest. |
Open the zipper on the top panel of the “Vacuum Storage Chest”, unclip the buckle securing the inner bag and push out the rigid side panels to form the chest. Gently pull out the inner vacuum bag, open and carefully place each item inside the vacuum bag in stacks on top of each other. |
Do not overpack, and allow at least 4” (10cm) of empty space at the top of the inner vacuum bag for correct sealing. To seal the top of the bag, hold the enclosed slider firmly in one hand and gently glide across the 2 sealing strips. Repeat the operation in the opposite direction to ensure the sealing strips are fully closed. |
Remove the dust cap from the vacuum valve on the inner bag. Place hose from any household vacuum cleaner over valve opening, and switch on the vacuum cleaner to extract air from the inner bag. As the bag compresses, gently guide to fit inside the chest. |
Replace dust cap on valve, and secure straps around inner bag by clipping buckles together. |
Close top panel of chest with zipper. The “Vacuum Storage Chest” is now ready to be stored away. The clear front panel will enable you to readily identify the contents of each chest. |
The “Vacuum Storage Chest” is available in different sizes and can be stacked on top of each other in any clean, dry area - in the wardrobe, under the bed, in the attic, in the linen cupboard, in the garage – in fact just about anywhere to save valuable space around the home. This picture shows 2 large chests stacked on top of a jumbo. |
